Today we would like to introduce Maci Kennedy! Maci is an EMT here at Cypress Creek EMS. Maci has been with CCEMS for 8 months and previously worked as an emergency room technician for 4 years. She is also in the current CCEMS Paramedic Class.

What made you get into EMS?

I really wanted to help people in the community. I took care of a family member at home and it’s just something I feel as though I was meant to do.

What has made you stay in EMS?

The fact that I legitimately get to make a difference in someone’s life.

What is your favorite part of your job?

The protocols & the people I get to work with in the field.

What are you excited for in the future of EMS?

More advanced procedures & becoming a Paramedic next year!

Any advice you would give to someone just starting out or thinking of joining EMS?

Be confident in what you are doing. Don’t be afraid to ask questions when you have them. Take full advantage of the opportunities you are given.

Anything else you would like to add?

“If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For passion will lead you right into your purpose.”—T.D. Jakes
