Extrication Day 2019

Cypress Creek EMS Coordinates EMT programs at several high schools in the Klein and Spring School Districts. Every year we bring the students to our campus and put the skills they’ve learned to the test.

Life Flight landed in the parking lot for a tour and learning session and Klein Fire Department demonstrated an extrication on a rolled over vehicle. The students went through six scenarios that tested skills on c-collar/back boarding, bleeding control, CPR and AED application, epi pen, NITRO administration, scene safety, and splinting. They responded to a simulated Mass Casualty Situation where they assessed and triaged patients. Thanks to Christy Flowers Stermer for the following pictures.
