The McLaughlin family has a long history of volunteering. Teresa, Charles, and their 4 children were members of Exchange Ambulance of the Islips in New York for more than 15 years. The children literally grew up in the volunteer program beginning in a youth squad at the age of 12 and going on the become EMTs.

After retiring from New York City EMS, the family planned to move to Texas. Teresa began to search for a EMS agency where they could continue their desire to support the community by volunteering. Teresa says, “I was immediately impressed by the level of professionalism I learned about at Cypress Creek EMS”. Within days of arriving in Texas they visited CCEMS and picked up volunteer applications. After orientation,  Katherine commented, “I am excited to belong to the Cypress Creek EMS family where I can continue to help those in need of care.”
