Michael Pharris Benefit a Success

The benefit for Michael Pharris’ wife and two daughters raised more than $10,000 dollars. Thanks to everyone who attended. It was a packed house. And, thanks to everyone who donated items for the silent auction. Thanks to Spring Fire Department for bringing out a truck for the kids to tour and for the chopped BBQ sandwiches. The Rafter 7 Cooking Team did a great job smoking the brisket and we also sold several whole briskets.

Thanks to all the folks who worked hard to make the benefit a reality, especially Jessica McCloskey, Destiny Petty, and Rosie Molinari. Also, thanks to all our fellow first responders from Spring Fire Department, Klein Fire Department, and Ponderosa Fire Department who attended and helped us raise money. And thanks to Ed Roth of the Atascocita Fire Department for bringing the department’s full-time therapy dog to the event. Van, was a big hit. Also, thanks to everyone who gave blood. The folks from the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center say we brought in 29 units of blood.
