The 2017-18 Paramedic Class at CCEMS is in the home stretch. After a year of sleep deprivation to allow the students to work, attend class and clinicals, as well as study, the class ends on May 22. National Registry testing is coming up on May 18 and graduation is scheduled for May 26.
Last Saturday, the students spent the day running scenarios that included responding to mass casualty incidents, implementing an incident command system, practice doing patient triage and determining how to treat and transport multiple patients quickly. The drills test the skills they’ve learned as well as critical thinking.
Applications are still be accepted for the next class. Testing of applicants will occur over the early summer and class begins this fall. For more information and to register click here.
