Quilt Club Donates Ambulance Animals

Before Christmas last year, Lynn Blake read a story about Precinct 1 Deputies donating stuffed animals to Cypress Creek EMS. The so-called ambulance animals are given to children who end up in a CCEMS ambulance to help comfort them during what can be a very scary experience. They get to keep the animals. Lynn thought it was a great idea so she took the idea to her quilt club.

Lynn is the leader of the Sewing and Vacuum Warehouse Quilt Club. The members also thought it was a great idea and pitched it to help buy ambulance animals, which were donated to Cypress Creek EMS today (February 22, 2018). The club meets at the Sewing and Vacuum Warehouse on Tomball Parkway.

Thanks to the members of the Quilt Club, Harris County Precinct 1 Deputies and annual donations from the Cypress Fairbanks Association of Retired Educators (Cy-FARE) we have plenty of ambulance animals for the time being, but if you’d like to donate in the future here are a few things you need to know.
