CCEMS Helps Drive for At-Risk Children

Cypress Creek EMS joined the Emergency Department at Houston Northwest Medical Center to collect hundreds of boxes of cereal to Northwest Assistance Ministries for it’s youngest clients. Employees of CCEMS, the hospital and Ponderosa Fire Department donated the cereal. Between CCEMS and the ER we donated 710 boxes. The leading department at CCEMS was the Maintenance Department, so a big thank you to Tony Ghourley, Stephen Reed, John Molinari and Mike Sommerwerck. Admin and Medic 58 were close behind for second and third place. When you add in all of the hospital departments, a total of 2,832 boxes of cereal were donated. In Charge Paramedic Casey Pruitt and EMT Marlon Reyes of Medic 59 delivered the CCEMS donations to the hospital emergency room. NAM will deliver the cereal to its clients so that children who are out of school for the summer have something to eat for breakfast.
