Chris Wehe (pronounced Way) is the Volunteer of the Month for February 2017. Chris started with CCEMS in June of 2013 as a non-medical driver. In November of 2013, Chris obtained his EMT-Basic Certification. Recently, Chris attended the latest Basic In Charge Academy and is close to completing the requirements. Chris was chosen for this award by his peers and is recognized for going above and beyond the call of duty. He has volunteered for nearly 800 total hours since he began. His positive attitude, dedication, and commitment provides a significant contribution to CCEMS and our community.
Chris works in the insurance industry and is very involved in the community outside of CCEMS. Wherever he goes and whatever he does he never misses an opportunity to tell people how lucky they are that Cypress Creek EMS is their 9-1-1 emergency responder. Plus, he frequently volunteers to attend community events on behalf of CCEMS giving the public ambulance tours and sharing the story of CCEMS.
Chris was recognized by the Cypress Creek EMS Board of Directors at their February 22nd meeting. Board President Greg Marwill presented the plaque. Congratulations Chris!
