The Grand Opening of Spring Fire Department Station 70 and Cypress Creek EMS Station 513 was a huge success. The side by side Fire and EMS stations serve Springwoods Village which is home to the new ExxonMobil Campus, Southwestern Energy, a New CHI St. Luke’s Hospital, new houses and a new apartment complex. Our thanks to Congressman Kevin Brady, State Senator Paul Bettencourt, The Commissioners of Emergency Service Districts 7 and 11, the Cypress Creek EMS Board of Directors, and CCEMS founders Kati and Cliff Woodward for making it a memorable day. Also thanks to our host, Spring Fire Chief Scott Seifert. Here are some pictures from the event.
It is a firehouse tradition to uncouple hoses and push a fire truck into a new station. Here’s a video of the push.It was a family friendly event with hot dogs, bounces houses, station and equipment tours, and a bit of history. In 1975, Kati and Cliff Woodward founded Cypress Creek EMS with some friends after a neighbor died of a heart attack waiting on a private ambulance. Here they are visiting with Kevin Brady.
