Volunteer Recognized for Community Service

This month CCEMS Volunteer Medic Tami Simmonds is featured in Forest Lifestyles Magazine for the volunteer work she’s been doing in her Montgomery County neighborhood of Woodforest.

Tami Simmonds CPR Class

Tami makes a difference as a volunteer medic with Cypress Creek EMS, but she is also making a difference at home by teaching her neighbors CPR. Tami uses CCEMS equipment at no charge and there is no charge for the class, although there is a $5.00 fee to cover the cost of the American Heart Association certification card. Since the magazine is produced specifically for the residents of Woodforest, Tami will likely get more requests for CPR training.

Tami will go to any neighbor’s home to teach the class as long as they have a group of at least eight willing students. Thanks for all that you do, Tami.

Tami is a great example of Cypress Creek’s continuing commitment to our community as we celebrate 40 years of service.
